About

Built in a district, watched across three continents.

Jai Bhairavi Devi Enterprises LLP is a Tamil-language digital media production house operating the Simply network from Kattuputhur, Tiruchirappalli.

The story

Jai Bhairavi Devi Enterprises LLP began as a single Tamil channel run out of a room in Kattuputhur, on the argument that a district audience did not need a Chennai newsroom to speak for it. The first uploads were local, unpolished and watched by people who recognised the streets in them.

Nine channels later, the argument holds. The network now covers mass entertainment, cinema in both long and short form, district news from Karur and Coimbatore, devotional programming, food and long-form conversation — one language, and a combined following past twelve million. Every frame is still written, shot, cut and graded by a crew that lives within an hour of the studio.

The group also operates in finance, food, transport and agriculture. Media is the loudest arm, but the discipline is the same across all of them: build for the district first, and let the rest follow.

The Jagannath Nayan
The mark

The Jagannath Nayan

The mark on every frame is the Jagannath Nayan — the sacred eyes of the Puri tradition, drawn in crimson as a single unbroken ribbon that loops twice and never closes. Two eyes, one line: the deity is understood to be watching wholly and without blinking, which is why the eyes in that tradition are always drawn larger than a face would allow.

Above the crossing sits the bindi, and rising from it the plume — the tuft that marks the deity in the Puri iconography. Neither is decoration. The mark is reproduced only in its crimson original, or as a single-colour gold motif on the indigo ground; it is never stretched, rotated or recoloured beyond those two.

For a media house it carries a second reading, and that is the one the group works to: attention is the whole business, and it is owed back. If an audience is watching, the work has to be worth being watched.

Facilities & capability

Everything from brief to grade happens in one building, which is why a shoot briefed on Monday can be live by Friday.

  • Studio floor

A permanent set in Kattuputhur with cyclorama, lighting grid and two standing interview setups — the reason a shoot can be scheduled the same week it is briefed.

  • Field units

Two mobile units covering Tiruchirappalli, Karur and the surrounding districts, equipped for live streaming over bonded mobile connections.

  • Post & grade

In-house edit bays, colour and sound. Nothing leaves the building for post, which is what keeps a same-week turnaround honest.

  • Writers room

A standing Tamil writing team across comedy, factual and devotional registers, plus a daily trend desk that decides what each channel makes that morning.
